Hi there!! I'm Leanna! Owner and sole photographer of Leanna Slater Photography!

I'm thrilled you're here, and I truly appreciate you stopping by!

I'm a proud Colorado native, raised in Douglas County just southeast of Castle Rock. I've watched this beautiful area grow over the years, and I'm proud to have photographed its families, seniors, athletes, and professionals since 2011.

Now based in Franktown, Colorado, I continue to serve Castle Rock, Parker, Elizabeth, Kiowa, Elbert, and surrounding communities.

I love creating images in wide-open spaces—fields, dirt roads, pine trees, and beautiful Colorado backdrops where my clients can relax and be themselves.

What I specialize in:

  • High school and college senior portraits

  • Dramatic athlete portraits and sports photography

  • Professional business and acting headshots

  • Personal branding photography

I'm honored to have been voted Best of Castle Rock in 2024, 2025, and 2026, with 200 five-star Google reviews.

Most importantly, I absolutely love what I do! My goal is to make every session fun, relaxed, and stress-free, while creating photographs you'll love for years to come.

Sessions are available on location or in my private studio by appointment.

Be sure to check out my BLOG for helpful tips, session inspiration, and recent work!

So, you ask, What’s my portrait booking process?

Below you can see what happens from start to finish when you book with Leanna Slater Photography!

#1

You first fill out a BOOKING form, by clicking on the 'LET’S CHAT!' above and select what type of session you want to schedule. Please note, that I cannot book you on the calendar until the session fee is paid, which is at the bottom of each booking form. After payment is received, I will send you a calendar invite with some great TIPS to prepare you for your session.

#2

I will receive your message and respond with an email and schedule a call, or, my favorite, in-person coffee/tea meet and great! ;) I love getting to know my clients, so be ready to tell me ‘everything about youself,’ Well, maybe not everything!! haha

#3

We will select your date and time. I only shoot one client per day. So you will have my complete attention! Ladies, here you may decide if you want to also schedule makeup.

#5

Finally, the day comes, and we have a blast expressing your BEST SELF in front of my camera! Sessions are usually 1-3 hours, depending on the number of outfits and locations. As we finish up, we scroll through the images and get a glimpse of what we have created together.

#6

I prepare the online Gallery for viewing your images (2 - 7-day prep). NOTE retouching/edits do not happen until you select your final images, but I do retouch a couple, so you can see my final product.

#7

You make your Final Selection, either in person or via online Gallery (I only sell high res digital images with print release)

#8

I will send the final invoice. Once paid, I will make final edits. Final images delivered (1-2 weeks) via an online link.
