Hi there!! I'm Leanna! Owner and sole photographer of Leanna Slater Photography!

I’m thrilled you’re here, and truly appreciate you stopping by!

I’m a proud Colorado native, raised in Douglas County, just southeast of Castle Rock. I still remember when Castle Rock had only one stoplight — it’s pretty amazing to see how much the area has grown over the years.

While my roots are firmly planted in the Castle Rock and Douglas County area, and I continue to serve clients throughout Elbert, Kiowa, Elizabeth, Castle Rock, Parker, Falcon and surrounding communities.

I do have an in-home studio (by appointment only), but my heart lives outdoors. I love creating images in wide-open spaces, whether that’s fields, dirt roads, pine trees, or quiet Colorado backdrops that let my clients relax and be themselves.

So, you ask, What’s my portrait booking process?

Below you can see what happens from start to finish when you book with Leanna Slater Photography!

You first fill out a BOOKING form, by clicking on the 'LET’S CHAT!' above and select what type of session you want to schedule. Please note, that I cannot book you on the calendar until the session fee is paid, which is at the bottom of each booking form. After payment is received, I will send you a calendar invite with some great TIPS to prepare you for your session.

I will receive your message and respond with an email and schedule a call, or, my favorite, in-person coffee/tea meet and great! ;) I love getting to know my clients, so be ready to tell me ‘everything about youself,’ Well, maybe not everything!! haha

We will select your date and time. I only shoot one client per day. So you will have my complete attention! Ladies, here you may decide if you want to also schedule makeup.

Finally, the day comes, and we have a blast expressing your BEST SELF in front of my camera! Sessions are usually 1-3 hours, depending on the number of outfits and locations. As we finish up, we scroll through the images and get a glimpse of what we have created together.

I prepare the online Gallery for viewing your images (2 - 7-day prep). NOTE retouching/edits do not happen until you select your final images, but I do retouch a couple, so you can see my final product.
